The Riverside Festival, affectionately known locally as ‘Rock on the Meds’, returns to the Meadows in the centre of Stamford for 2012. The event will once again feature over 10 hours of live entertainment, with something suitable for the whole family.

The festival will include 4 main stages of live music including :

Riverside Stage – The main outdoor stage offering a venue without boundaries and featuring live music covering a diverse range of genres.
Marquee Stage – This stage is dedicated to metal, rock, indie, & punk music.
Boomerang/Acoustic Stage – This stage provides a platform for acts with acoustic, folk, jazz, world and blues influences.
Buskers Stage – A less formal stage but increasingly popular year on year. It offers a packed programme from singer/songwriters, to improvisations or performances by complete ensembles.

The event will also include children’s entertainment and workshops, a traditional family fun fair, real ale and cider festival and bar, a wide range of refreshments from around the world, craft and market stalls and a fabulous firework finale.

Stamford Town Council have insisted that Admission to the event this year is ticketed and that the audience numbers attending are strictly limited.
